ISTITUTO EUROPEO is almost finished with it's intense work for 2010.

It hasn't been an easy year for ISTITUTO EUROPEO because of the global
recession.  Nevertheless, the ISTITUTO EUROPEO has been innovative and
promoted programs whose aim is to improve quality and excellence, such
as with the Internship Program and the program for Entrepreneurial

Excellence in Italy and Italian Life & Culture.

The results we were able to attain were surprising and for the next
year we hope to double our performance.

The study of the Italian language seems to be stagnant, perhaps

because of the economic recession.  Apparently the traditional Italian
intensive courses are more attractive to a mature public coming from

the European and Japanese markets, and somewhat still appealing to
Australian and New Zealand youths.  Probably because in these
countries the recession hasn't reached the European peaks.

The "made in Italy" fascination is still the driving reason to study

Italian even though it is marking time.  We think that a new indexing
of the Italian service industry in the world market (rather than the
manufacturing industry, which is less important to the Italian economy
but nevertheless started the fascination) will give vitality to a new

Renaissance of the "made in Italy" brand.

Mizuki's internship in Siena!

I met interesting people and I had the exact experience I was looking for and exactly the way I wanted it.


I taught Japanese language to Italian students four days a week at Neverland in Siena from September 20, 2010 to November 18, 2010. Before starting the course, I was worried about my Italian language skills as I thought I would have a hard time answering their questions. Luckily, they were really good students and learned the three Japanese alphabets, pronunciation and grammar with slow but steady progress.
I was so happy the day they were able to read and write sentences without photocopies. Unfortunately, it was only a two month internship!
My experience has been really good; I met interesting people and I had the exact experience I was looking for and exactly the way I wanted it.
For this reason, I thank the ISTITUTO EUROPEO for helping me find such a great school and students in such a wonderful city!!

Certamente uno dei caffè più antichi di Firenze. Forse il più antico. Fu fondato nel 1733 ed è ancora lì splendido e pieno di salute.

PERSONALE: molto professionale e gentile. Certamente sensibili alla mancia, ma è normale in un simile lavoro (VOTO: 9)

This is certainly one of the oldest Cafés in Florence. Maybe the
oldest one. It was founded in 1733 and it is still doing a lot of
business.

It is certainly the right place for coffee, cappuccino and chocolate.

BARMEN AND WAITERS:
Very professional and kind. Of course they are very sensitive to a
good tip, but this is normal in this type of job, all over the world.

Universita': continuano occupazioni

A MILANO OCCUPATA NELLA NOTTE ACCADEMIA DI BRERA - La scorsa notte studenti legati ai manifestanti che hanno protestato in corteo, ieri, contro il ddl Gelmini, hanno occupato l'Accademia di Brera. Al momento non è noto quanti siano e dove si trovino esattamente. L'azione sarebbe stata compiuta intorno alle 4. - Secondo quanto si è appreso dalla Questura, la situazione, al momento, sarebbe "tranquilla". Ad accorgersi dell'ingresso non autorizzato di estranei sarebbe stato, secondo indiscrezioni, l'istituto di vigilanza che si occupa dell'Accademia, intorno alle 4, appunto. Gli studenti avrebbero occupato un'aula dell'edificio. Secondo la Questura, si tratterebbe di un piccolo gruppo di persone.

Roma, scontri e cariche in Via del Corso



Corteo notturno degli studenti dell'Università di Cagliari. Dopo il voto finale alla Camera che ha dato il via libera al ddl Gelmini, che ora approderà in Senato, e dopo un'assemblea organizzativa al Palazzo delle Scienze, il cui tetto è tuttora presidiato, una parte degli studenti hanno deciso di effettuare una nuova azione di protesta tra le vie cittadine. Il corteo, partito prima di mezzanotte, ha effettuato varie tappe nelle strade principali del capoluogo: tra piazza Yenne, via Roma, viale Regina Margherita, piazza Costituzione, viale Regina Elena per chiudersi alla Casa dello Studente in via Trentino. Oggi nuova assemblea di tutti gli studenti ed i ricercatori per decidere le iniziative di protesta che saranno portate avanti sino al giorno della discussione del ddl al Senato. Nel frattempo continuano le occupazioni nella Facoltà di Magistero e nel Palazzo delle Scienze.

A PALERMO OCCUPATE INGEGNERIA E AULE MEDICINA - Tra ieri sera e stamattina gruppi di studenti hanno occupato la facoltà di Ingegneria di Palermo e alcune aule di Medicina per protestare contro il ddl Gelmini. La notizia, comunicata agli studenti con un tam tam su Facebook, é stata confermata dai coordinatori della protesta universitaria. A Palermo erano già occupate le facoltà di Lettere, Scienze matematiche e Scienze Politiche.

OCCUPATA FACOLTA' SCIENZE E CHIMICA A CATANIA - Continua la protesta contro la riforma Gelmini a Catania: la notte scorsa studenti di Scienze e tecnologie chimiche di Catania hanno occupato l'aula magna del dipartimento universitario, dove è prevista un'assemblea di studenti, docenti e ricercatori. Assemblee permanenti sono in corso anche nella facoltà di Scienze politiche e nel liceo classico Nicola Spedalieri per contestare "un governo insensibile al futuro dei propri giovani".

A TORINO CONTINUA OCCUPAZIONE PALAZZO NUOVO - E' rimasto occupato per tutta la scorsa notte, a Torino, Palazzo Nuovo, sede delle facoltà umanistiche dell'Università, da dieci giorni gestito autonomamente dagli studenti che protestano contro la riforma Gelmini. Stamani sono proseguiti i picchetti davanti agli ingressi, mentre alle 14 si terrà una riunione durante la quale verranno decise le prossime strategie del movimento dopo i numerosi blocchi alla circolazione stradale, autostradale e ferroviaria di ieri.

SACCONI, RIFORMA CONTRO FUCINA DI PRECARI - "E' interesse del Paese, dei giovani e della loro occupabilità, varare quanto prima questa riforma che cambia un' università che oggi è purtroppo una fucina di precari". Lo ha detto il ministro del Lavoro, Maurizio Sacconi, a margine di una audizione alla Commissione Parlamentare sull'attività degli enti gestori.(

Sì sofferto dell'Aula di Montecitorio alla riforma dell'Università. I finiani ancora una volta mettono in evidenza la loro 'insostituibilita'' per la tenuta parlamentare del governo. E, prima del voto finale, mandano "sotto" l'esecutivo due volte su altrettanti emendamenti che hanno il via libera anche dall'opposizione. Testi che vengono approvati contro il parere del governo con una ventina di voti di scarto. Ma Silvio Berlusconi difende a spada tratta il ddl e attacca i manifestanti: "I veri studenti sono a casa a studiare",dice, chi va ora in piazza sono i fuoricorso dei centri sociali. Poi ad approvazione ottenuta, esulta: contro l'occupazione da parte della sinistra dei settori della cultura, della scuola e dell'Università, è stato inferto "un colpo mortale a parentopoli", dimostrando inoltre al paese di essere "il governo del fare". Ma la giornata, con i due voti dei finiani a battere il governo, ha consegnato motivi di soddisfazione anche all'opposizione che non ha perso l'occasione per attaccare la riforma a testa bassa. Ed è scontro in aula con il centrodestra che insorge contro i "massimalismi" di Pd e Idv. Ogni volta che un emendamento di Fli viene messo ai voti, mentre è aperta la votazione dai banchi del centrosinistra si sente la classica 'ola' degli stadi di calcio in vista di un'azione decisiva. Ma è anche scontro al calor bianco sulla sicurezza nelle città italiane 'invase' da tantissimi studenti che protestano contro la riforma. Pd e Idv attaccano il ministro dell' Interno accusandolo di aver "militarizzato" Roma. Lui si difende parlando di "difesa adeguata". Silvio Berlusconi, dunque, difende il testo Gelmini.

"E' - rivendica - una buona riforma che favorisce studenti, professori e più in generale tutto il mondo accademico e dunque deve passare se vogliamo finalmente ammodernare l'Università". Il presidente del Consiglio non si capacita delle proteste e dell'opposizione alla riforma: "E' stata discussa con tutte le parti in causa, modificata, migliorata e credo che meglio di così non si potesse proprio fare". Per questo, osserva Sandro Bondi, "un'opposizione responsabile dovrebbe sostenerla". E invece, secondo Ignazio La Russa, "la sinistra solidarizza con i violenti". Gli "estremisti che hanno bloccato Roma e causato gravi incidenti non hanno reso un buon servizio alla stragrande maggioranza di studenti scesi in piazza con motivazioni non totalmente condivisibili ma certamente animate da una positiva volontà di partecipazione e di miglioramento delle condizioni della nostra Università", si schiera il presidente della Camera, Gianfranco Fini, che esprime solidarietà "alle Forze di Polizia, ai cittadini romani e ai tantissimi giovani in buona fede, la cui protesta è stata strumentalizzata". Incidenti che per il presidente del Senato Renato Schifani, che condanna gli attacchi alle forze dell'ordine, "non hanno certamente giovato alla vita democratica e a chi voleva manifestare pacificamente" Ma per il Pd responsabile della tensione è solo e soltanto il governo.

Mi pare - denuncia il leader Pierluigi Bersani - che nella stragrande maggioranza studenti e ricercatori si siano mossi in modo pacifico. Ha impressionato la città militarizzata. E se si è arrivati a questa tensione è per irresponsabilità dell'Esecutivo che ha perso la testa e la presa sui problemi del paese". E sotto attacco della sinistra radicale è il ministro dell'Interno Roberto Maroni, cui Nichi Vendola contesta "una responsabilità gravissima", perché sta facendo diventare "le proteste studentesche una vicenda di disordine pubblico". Ma il responsabile del Viminale non ci sta: "Io - rivendica - ho il compito di gestire l'ordine pubblico e evitare incidenti e l'assalto ai luoghi sacri della democrazia, come avvenuto la scorsa settimana in Senato. E mi pare che tutto stia avvenendo con grande responsabilità delle forze dell'ordine che hanno subito violenza e stanno gestendo una situazione molto complicata".
